River Of Souls started their journey in 2014 In the Netherlands. They are mostly described as a doomed heavy death metal band and with all the right reasons.
They released their first debut album in 2017 under the name: The Well Of Urd and after many positive reactions, their EP ‘The Nihilist’, followed in 2018 along with the first live shows. Some of these shows were at Armistice Doomfest in Antwerp, Belgium and Dutch Doom Days in their own Netherlands.
After lots of changes and facing some difficulties in 2019, the band is back on track and this time they did it with their new album, called: Usurper.
With Usurper they take you again with them along on a journey that has a great mix of heavy metal, fast forward beats, breakdowns and melodic themes. Something for everyone who loves metal.
The album gives you also lots of moments to say: “Didn’t see that one coming!” That is due to the constant mix of the genres, the great use of instruments and a great switch of clean vocals and awesome screams.
Usurper is also available as a jewel case CD with 8-page booklet and through popular streaming services.
