Ghost Season is a high energy alternative metal band from Athens in Greece. They started out in 2013. Originally it was an idea of Dorian Gates, who plays bass. He quickly got back up from a guitarist, named: Nick Christolis. And so Ghost Season became reality.
Since then they have been working their way to the top and got joined by other great artist who completed their setup.
In the seven years of existence, the band has done many shows and tours including ‘The Haunting UK Tour’ in 2019. They also have produced many songs.
Now they’re here with an acoustic album. This one contains songs of their own, as also two covers which they gave a Ghost Season coat.
From The Otherside is an acoustic album that has the power of an album with full band. That’s because the songs are not only guitars and vocals, but also other instruments are used. That makes the album powerful in its own way, but also fragile.
The songs are all so brilliantly composed that it is easy to sink away in your thoughts by listening to them.
A great mix of the instruments gives the album an even deeper touch. That way it makes it even more easy to wander off in your thoughts.
The lyrics of their own songs are written so well and combined with the acoustic setup, they give them even more the feeling of being written by a poet.
Along with their own songs, they have also added two acoustic covers. They are also played in the same acoustic setting as their own songs and that makes the entire album the perfect description of what everyone is feeling during these unseen situations that the the world is going through at this very moment.
It then also is the perfect recipe for people who want to escape in their own thoughts or imagination for a while, cause listening to the calming voice, the relaxing guitar-play and the beautiful music to your ears, are truly able to bring you in trance for a while. Away from reality.
