Twelve Years Today is an Alt/ metal band from Wasaga Beach, Ontario in Canada. The band brings you a perfectly balanced sound through their music. Something that can be listened to by many people who love many different genres of music. They are bringing proof to you with this EP, called: In Times Of Madness.
The album starts with a soothing intro, right before the drum kick in. The powerful voice of the singer, combined with spot on guitar-play, makes the listener fall in love with their music within seconds.
In the first song there’s a great mix in vocal lines while the drums and guitars stay on track, which makes it a perfect intro to the album.
It’s a bit heavier music, yet it has a great vibe that can influence many listeners. You don’t have to be a fan of metal music to love the band’s work. It has heavier influences, but the main focus is more mainstream and that makes that the band can speak to fans of many other genres.
What really makes this album unique is that every song tells its own story and all songs combined, this album creates a perfectly balanced and original atmosphere.
The use of instruments is also beautifully done and combined with the vocal lines, it can give listeners the chance to wander off in their thoughts.
Some parts in the album are heavier, while other parts are more soothing and that combination is done so brilliantly that the album itself comes out as a masterpiece on its own.
